Synergology and science
Synergological propositions are scientifically acceptable and admissible.
Observing and interpreting body movements allows us to better frame our questions because the direction of the gestures has a meaning and the pace of the movement is important, as is the choice of hand motion (Cochet, & Vauclair, 2012). Yes indeed, body movements mean something!

- Verification method
The reliability of synergology rests principally on its mode of validation.
Unlike most non-verbal techniques, synergology is a discipline governed by a code of conduct containing rules and very precise and objective methods.
Each new non-verbal communication (gesture, attitude, micro-movement...) is stored in digital databases containing tens of thousands of video sequences. It is then compared to the same action previously spotted in other contexts.
The principle of refutability, generally used in the pure sciences, is also applied in synergology. All synergological propositions are scientifically acceptable and admissible; they have all passed the refutation test, and publications on synergology are therefore beginning to surface within the science world. These publications do not have to demonstrate its scientific nature, but they are using it, and by doing so, they are gradually establishing its external validity.
